All donations from the Serbian Philanthropic Gala will go towards the Divac Scholarship Program. To donate ahead of the event please click below. Please note that we will also provide ample opportunities to donate during the event.
The Divac Scholarship Program’s mission is to award scholarships to high school students in the Republic of Serbia who have demonstrated academic excellence and a willingness to contribute to the betterment of their local communities through volunteer work. The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation initiated the program three years ago and 100 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 per student were awarded during the 2018/2019 school year. The program assigns special importance to the student’s family social status and the health of its members since the funds allow the scholarship recipients to invest in their education and put less burden on the family budget.
450 applications were received for the 2019/2020 school year, indicating that a large number of children in Serbia are in need of support and that the program would welcome donations to help as many families and children as possible.
To learn more about the program and the stories of the scholarship holders please click here.
Note: In the unlikely case of shortfall in revenues from ticket sales, part of the donation proceeds will be used to cover the expenses of organizing the event. The Organizing Committee and the Divac Foundation are not receiving any profits or compensation for organizing this event.
